Is an old tradition on this site, a suggestion that we all cool it.
Regardless of the tastefulness or dis- of the topic, I think some words were said here which did not need saying.
That birthday cake pleases me. I like it, I like the rainbow jar.
I really hope to earn it on my 50th birthday, coming up soon.
We can all disagree and discuss - after all, I tease Toggleswitch unmercifully, but if I didn't feel great affection for him, I wouldn't. Thought that applied to all of us here.
The christianists are the enemies, not our sisters and straight friends.

Unlike us humans, who do far worse things to each other and all other living creatures with deliberate intent, out of boredom, opportunism and wanton cruelty, every second of every day.

I had heard a rumour that Maggie was very straight-laced and did not care for off-beat humour.
I feared pissing her off and treaded carefully in her posts!

I am thrilled an honoured to call her my sister! I am pleased to see a light-hearted sense of fun and a well-developed sense of humour! And the intellignece and talent, OH LA LA ! Also, as far as I know he steps on NO ONE'S heart!

All I can say is I treasure your posts Maggie and enjoy your outlook. I look to this site not only for technical infomation but to rejoice in the the warmth,concern, humour wit, charm and fun that oh so many bring.

I disagree with some of what is said in general on this site, especailly cringing at politics or hate, but I try not to go "OFF" when such things happen. And I always try to remember... sing it girls!

Well, I don't do cakes, so I don't have any to offer - stale or otherwise. But how about a pumpkin pie, home made, from scratch, with "real" (not canned) pumpkin?! If you've never had a pumpkin pie made from scratch with fresh pumpkin, well, you've just not lived a full life. The difference is as dramatic as the difference between instant coffee and percolated from freshly ground coffee beans.
