Hi everyone. Well, in a couple weeks, I'll have had my GE Nautilus portable dishwasher for a year! Now, I know this isn't a fancy or expensive model... but it has given me the ability to have a dishwasher in my dishwasher-less apartment and I am grateful for it (him) every day. I found him on Craigs List for 100 bucks, and he was barely used. I bought him from an old lady who prefered to hand wash, and was just using him for storage! He has given me excellent service with no complaints for the year I've had him. He's added to my minimal counter space, and cut my work load in the kitchen in half! Even though I'm single (just one person household), I enjoy baking and that can create a lot of dishes. They are no match for my Mr. Dwash! He cleans them spotless ever time, and I never rinse first. My counter, clothes, and floor stay neat and dry because my dishwasher cleans the mess for me. He's not perfect, he's a little noiser than a more prestigous model, and his silverware basket has a couple of slats in the "floor" that have snapped off during our first year together, but it's still great having him around! I wouldn't have it any other way!
So, what to get such a deserving dishwasher for such an occasion?
Perhaps a new silverware basket with all the slats intact so forks and knives don't fall through the larger openings and block the spray arm...
or
a new bottle of Jet Dry Turbo Dry rinse aid (he's used to the "regular" stuff now)...
or
maybe a jug of Tang or dishwasher cleaner?
What do you suggest?
Maybe I should get a boyfriend, huh? Well, we are *all* appliance enthusiasts here, no?
)
(Btw, if your appliances had genders, which ones would be girls, and which ones would be boys?)
