Could you post more pics of the inside of the washer & dryer? My family had a washer just like that one. It had the same control panel design but it had only 4 water level selections.
It had 2 additional ATC(Automatic Temparature Control) options for water temp. It had a wash/spin speed selector by that with the following options going clockwise: Handwash and Fine Delicates, Handwash, Delicate, Normal, and Heavy Duty. The Handwash and Fine Delicates option intermittently agitated at slow speed and spun at slow speed. The Handwash option agitated at slow speed and spun at slow speed. The Delicate option agitated at normal speed and spun at slow speed. The normal option agitated at normal speed and spun at fast speed and the Heavy Duty option agitated at fast speed and spun at fast speed. There was an additional knob for selecting a second rinse for the Ultra Clean and Permanent Press II cycles. The avalible cycles were: Ultra Clean(a.k.a. Normal), Permanent Press II, Prewash, and Soak. The machine had the triple-action agitator with soft-mounted, removable fabric softener dispenser. It also had an automatic bleach dispenser for Liquid Chlorine Bleach. The machine's basket was white and had that diagonal hole pattern. The lid opened to the left. Now that I have provided a detialed description of the washer could somebody provide a model number? Also, for those who wonder what happened to it, The drive-coupler broke last May and then a failed attempt by a repairman to replace it resulted in seizing the motor. The washer was only 4-years-old and we expected it to last about 20. We replaced it with the Kenmore Elite Oasis with the solid lid, and Total Care Flex agitator. My aunt who works at Sears helped us buy it because it was the best Top-Loading washer with Agitator Sears had. She does like the Non-Agitator version and also Front-Loading washers. She thinks Non-Agitator Top-Loaders and Front-Loaders clean O.K. She does not like glass lids though. She thinks they can get scratched but I researched otherwise. Somday I am planning to trick the lid lock to see what's going on in there and to make pics and yes, vids!
Thus ends my rant.
