"Nothing's Tiny in Texas!"

Load that spanned over two days. Not terribly soiled, chose "Normal," with "Hi-Temp," "No-Heat Dry."

Turned the dial about halfway between the Heavy and Normal as that gives a single pre-rinse, just to temper the tub some and ensure the main-wash will be hot.

Given my experience thus far, I *think* this machine will clean it all :)

Results?

Lower rack? Great! The machine seems to move lots of water. One of the large pots/skillets had a significant amount of macaroni/cheese from lunch which was removed. Bowls were spaghetti this evening.

Upper Rack? Mostly good. It seemed some of the Bob-Loading attempt on the lower rack blocked the tower - so the two white bowls and a couple of cups had some yibblets in them... Machine has no filter, and no rinse aid at present, so I find this acceptable.

That said, I think with some revision to loading technique this isn't an issue. Not having to worry about blocking the upper wash arm is nice!

I may use the "Heavy" wash cycle next time just to see if theres an improvement.

Looks good.
Those white bowls aren't even facing toward the tower though. I'm not surprised there was some gooky ricochet.

About those bowls:

That's just a "hold-out" from back home with the DishDrawer. If you see previous threads and images I've posted, bowls are always arranged like that. Realistically, I should find a manual and see what that suggests - or do what you say!

Definitely BobLoad certification. The top rack loading was "creative". Not sure I would have had those small plates or bowls laying flat on top of something else. But the load did have some soil.

Thanks Bob!

Awesome to have the man himself give the load the words of approval!

I shall have to try and outdo myself in the days to come.

Load #2

Machine is performing roughly to expectation. I cleaned the wash-arm and associated parts after today's load, and am hoping the removal of some lime will help the machine along a little more.

"Heavy-Soil" (needs water changes to make up for lack of filtration, so double pre-rinse), High-Temp and No-Heat-Dry for today's run. Tap in kitchen run hot prior.

FLIPS

Don't you just hate it when your Durawash flips over half of everything in your upper rack?
Ughhhh, so annoying! Can't wait for the new house with a gentler 2nd rack wash arm.

I've never taken a picture

of a load in my Maytag dishwasher, but I think of this when I'm going to run a load and trying to fit everything in and you're at the point where it just seems impossible, but you end up doing it! I've even put a big bowl on TOP of the silverware basket and it comes clean.

I've even put a big bowl on TOP of the silverware basket and it comes clean.
I often do that, or place a larger item atop a smaller or smaller under larger. The water spray can get around/between.

Bob Load KenWhirl

After loading the Lower Rack, You can see I decided to run the drip pans from the Range through as well. I used Heavy Wash which incorporates Water Heating.

Detergent... Cascade with Dawn. (No Tony)

Before starting you can see I placed a cutting board and hung two sets of tongs over the board.

Everything came out Spotless.

dispenser

The WP racks are so 'short' on these machines that there's ample room for detergent to exit. In fact, the dispenser door swings into and hits the rack, so it opens at an acute angle anyway.

@countryguy... Yes. I always check the rotation of the upper arm and make sure the Detergent dispenser is clear for flushing.

@johnb... Yes, that angle the Detergent Door stays open at really deflects the water into the cup to flush it out over and over.

@Mr. Appnut... The Upper Rack pic is soiled. The other two pics are after the Cycle.

and both sides of the cutting board and the tongs were spotless.

I just wish the upper Rack was like a Older Custom or Regency Series KitchenAid.

The Regency rack Tilts, Lowers and Raises

Love that Rack. The tines are rather short and with the tilting and lowering you BobLoad the crap out of that rack. The rack is kind of reminiscent of the Older Cement Mixer Hotpoints with the "Whisper Clean" and the "Spotless Rinse".
