Another loss for me

Today my 17 year old Silky Terrier - Pooky - died peacefully after suffering from dementia and a gum infection. The little guy was a trooper till the end and I spent last night with him in my arms for some quite comfort. My other dog Max has been like velcro on me. The experience has brought back the fellings that I had when I lost my Dad in May of this year. So if you have a buddy like Pooky or Max (beagle mix), give them an extra hug today.

I'm so sorry to hear this!

Two losses in one year can be a bit much to take. At least you got to spend some quality time with Pooky before he passed. 17 years is a good long life. Now he can frolick, like a pup, over the rainbow bridge!! Please take care of yourself.

I just went and hugged my Girlie-girl, a 13 year old border collie. I gave her a kiss on the head for Pooky, so when she goes, they will meet.

My Bear is in my arms and just got a kiss on his nose.He loves to play with tennis balls,stuffed teddy bear and balloons.

got lap time today at work! My heart goes out to you, Al was 15 and I think had a wonderful life here and is now painless and free again.

This is so sad.
It is so hard to loose a pet that you have had so long!
I am glad however that Pookey had you as a dad.
