An investment in emotions...

A very wise friend of my Parents coined this and I have never found anything truer. I used to walk a Dalmatian named Sage who was owned by a Chef/Colleague/Friend of mine. I looked forward to our walks. Dalmatians can be challenging to train, but they're beautiful and smart. I'm sorry for your loss; I know how it feels.

Allen, I think it's well documented with some humans who are in much the same situation as Kelly that when they are about to go, they somehow get energized, more coherent and behave much like their old selves. It sounds to me like Kelly was ready and that your timing couldn't have been better. I hope you are taking comfort in knowing she was as happy as she could be in her final hours even though there is an emptiness around the household right now.

Sad Loss

I lost my favorite beagle 3 years ago,he luved to wrap himself around my old frogeye Kenmore dryer at the bottom when it was on.He passed away and I had him cremated and he still sits on top of the dryer in his box.I was lucky enough to find another tan and white beagle at the pound badly abused, and he turned out to be just as kind and good as Sarge. He also luvs to lay by that old dryer.May god bless your baby.

So Sorry For Your Loss

I had to have one of my cats put to sleep, and had her cremated. Her ashes are in a small pink urn which sits in my Mom's antique bookcase with her horse collection. We had an Irish Setter that broke out a window and got hit by a car, he was also cremated and his ashes are in the case as well.

Allen and Karen.

You are both in my thoughts as well.

Your Dalmatian was beautiful. Our pets leave us far too soon.

Best Wishes,

Shane
