Both the washer and the dryer are free, supposedly in working order, though stored for a few years.

I wrote the seller last night and expressed my hopes that he wouldn't allow such an excellent machine go to a scrapper.

 

I got a reply this morning stating that they knew it was a good machine and wanted it to find a new home, but that they were under a deadline to unload it.  He said someone was supposed to come today and get both machines, so with the ad pulled, that must have panned out.  I do hope it wasn't a scrapper.

I look everyday on Craigslist in the SF Bay Area for a set like this! I can't believe I missed it

Sugar, if you're not already doing so, use the search term "older" in the appliance listings.  That's how I found my 712 last week, and the 608 you missed out on was in the "free" listings.

Thats a good idea. I never thought of that. Thanks for that tip. And now that i think about it, its one of those "ah ha moments". LOL
