A $200 asking price seems extremely well priced to me, especially if it is in as great shape as they say.  If it were me, I'd keep it if I preferred electric cooking over gas.

I cannot say I ever have either - or even heard of them, mind you there have been examples of the double oven cooker (top right) and the split level oven both on ebay within the last 12 months, so you never know. Actually there have been a few of those ovens over the years - of course at one time they would have been the absolute top of line in this country

I have seen and used a Carron cordon bleu double oven with 4 rings and a griddle but never seen anything like a Flair with both ovens up above I think thats a really good idea and a fold away hob when not in use seems like it should be the norm as it saves a lot of space I would have liked one as they remind me of Bewitched lol

I would love a Carron Cordon Bleu myself - late 1960s version with white doors please - I dont like the later ones with glass doors so much.

And yes, the Flair always reminds me of Bewitched too, as does the Hoover DAM (Convertable to us)

I had one though not for long it was left with an ex which sadly a lot of my things were including my very own Jackson Topline.! The cordon bleu that was in the home I cooked was solid white doors and now I think of it my Sister had the gas version in her Pub kitchen they were great cookers and I think you can still find them on ebay.

Its from seeing all the lovely appliances on here I so wish I had been born in the USA

I always wanted to be a 50's housewife American of course lol. Some of my wish has come true I guess am now a housewife in my 50's pmsl.....x

Better than a Jackson Topline

What about this beauty? I would LOVE to have it but I dont have the time or energy to haul it from Doncaster to South London. Not to mention the cost as I have been somewhat indulgent over vacuum cleaners this last few weeks .....

I always liked the Jackson Topline though and even the Highline. Was yours the later one with thermostatic top oven?

Hey thats a nice one

I think mine had a adjustable thermostat on the top oven I used it quite often. I do recall it had curly rings and needed a new spider under the one rear burner.
It was defo a Jackson though not a Moffat I also left there one of the rare Hoover cylinder cannot recall the name or number it was blue with a white handle that only went part way over it had a red on / off button and I think a dark grey cord rewind button too. I do remember there was a slide cover at the back of the handle where you could connect the hose to make it blow does this mean anything to you ? What Vacuums have you treated yourself to?

It certainly does - it was a Hoover Conquest model 507 - and I am pleased to say I have a good example of it. I have have bought about 20 cleaners in the last month or so - some from a fellow collector clearing some of his collection and some from ebay - its been just one of those times when a lot of cleaners have come up at once. I might post some pictures when I get home.

The Jackson Topline model ran for getting on for 20 years or so, although at the very end it might have been a Creda Topline - same thing though. If I remember right the model with thermostatic top oven had the controls in a horizontal strip over the oven. Again I have some pictures at home.

What it meant to me was.....

It was the first cleaner I had that was in my own flat it was the first time I moved out of home so yes it did mean something, I never thought at that time to take anything apart from my washer and dryer and the fridge freezer as I was still paying for them

Would love to see some pictures of your collection I think you may have a better memory than I because I know the controls on my cooker were on the right hand side so maybe my top oven was not thermostatically controlled after all?
