This is, what, Rethuglican sex-scandal number 9,94x this year?

This is the pig who fired a Republican Committee Chairman for removing the ban on homosexual relations a few years back in Missouri...long after the Supremes invalidated all sex laws.

He couldn't permit such immorality to go un-punished.

Now he's in trouble for nearly strangling his girlfriend during non-deviant intercourse...'cause she forgot the safeword "green balloons"...

Or couldn't get them out...

Remind me again, please, why Far-Right Christians and Rethuglicans are the party of choice for gays?

Remind me again, please, why Far-Right Christians and Rethug

It's their "Don't ask" "Kill 'em if they tell" policy

Actually, I have always been suspicious that Repubs have sex. I found proof when G.W. Bush came along. It's an evil necessity, but otherwise the breed would die out--you know, like the Shakers.

I'm just having fun here, I don't really care.

FELONY ASSAULT CHARGES!

He called Gay sex "deviate sexual intercourse." Beating and choking someone during heterosexual intercourse outside of marriage is not? The girlfriend also suggested that he slipped a date-rape drug into her glass of wine, causing her to lose consciousness. Another sicko.

Ah yes,

The real meaning of Christian family values.

So. I begin to see the attraction to the Rethuglicans.
I mean, S/M and good, Christian values while you are down on your knees at the same time.

What more could a self-loathing girl ask for?

Apart from a safe-word you can use when your mouth is full and your gen-u-whine-Christian, Republican, Gauleiter is throttling you.

Two taps or knocks or blinks is the universal "too far, stop" signal Every professional knows it and only the ultimate swine ignore it.

Well, at least this Christianist Rethuglican pig will get a chance to learn all about deviant sex in prison. He does kind of have a nice ass...

oooh here comes a RANT. Heavy flow day.......

Darlings, with all due respect, can we have a thread around here without the following words?

Politics
Republican
Democrat
Liberal
Conservative
Christian (Moslem, Jew Buddhist.....etc.)
Christianist
Family-values.

We have all come to know who stands where, and who feels persecuted, and who feels there are conspiracies going on, and who believes what various things need to be done to live in a utopian society.

Personally, the "prophet" at the head of my religious bent did not believe in the power of politics and government, organized religion and other worldly endeavors, but chose to preach the power of love, healing self-empowerment and treating each-other well to achieve that very same utopian ideal. If it was good enough for him, (to be apolitical) it is good enough for me.

I much prefer to have my head up my @$$ when it comes to politics. I just don' t give a s- - - . It is rather amusing to see so many get so hot over these things. I'll be dead in 50 years or less, so I'm looking to better myself and my soul and the hell with imposing my will on this Earth and its systems or its inhabitants.

I look at it this way, one should learn to manage their own little life PERFECTLY before they try to dictate to others how to think and how to act. I mean it's lovely to want to be a leader in the world, but if one has say a dozen cats and lives in filth and disarray and hoarding and is twisted beyond belief, what makes one think they can lead others? And this is not intended to single ANYONE out at ALL...but honey, if the shoe fits Cinderella...... LOL

I mean no one any disrespect. But can we change-up the broken record once in a while?

I'll never forget an ex of mine who took me to a Communist/Socailist rally in Manhattan. (The jack-ass didn't have ANY clue what it was). And there we were are listening to lovely folk-songs on the guitar and all these "fell-good" RAH RAH RAH power to the people speeches. Well, it was hot as hell iin the room, but the leader of the "pack" was standing with her back to the air-condtioner and SHUT IT OFF because SHE was cold. Now wait a minute, your mouth is saying "We are for you, we LISTEN to the people, CHANGE IS GOOD put US in power and make the world FABULOUS". But your actions are saying "I'm here for the personal benefits, to be in charge, to start a social revolution and to take care of me." It was comical to say the least. Despite the throngs fanning themselves, taking off clothing ans sweating profuselymshe HAD NO CLUE what the crowd was feeling.

The thing about political office is this, just like gun ownership, those that want a gun are exactly those that should not have one. Those that seek political office are also probably those that should not be in it.

Again, I dont mean to be offensive, but not harping on the same stuff again and again might make for more interesting interactions.

PEACE OUT.

and not too far away,

Rethuglicans in Souoth Carolina today decided not to impeach Sanford, stating:
"We can't impeach for hypocrisy. We can't impeach for arrogance. We can't impeach an officeholder for his lack of leadership skills," said Rep. James Harrison, the Columbia Republican who headed the panel."

Now, when it comes to Democrats (The Bill and Hill Show does come to mind), Rethuglicans have no problem with it at all.

But we all know rethugs are God's chosen party, representing Christian Family Values, so it's fine to have a governor who's screwing o=women all over the planet at the tax-payer's expense.

Toggles,

I mean no offense, truly not. Maybe I'm on the rag today, too, but that makes two hypocritical, filthy swine who want to strip me of the most basic human rights (and who support murdering gays in Africa) who think it's just fine to go around having sex at the cost of women yet who make my life personally difficult.

Hell yes, I take pleasure in seeing them get called out for it. Enormous pleasure. I've had it up to here with Christianists and Rethuglicans and their better-o-sexual attitudes. Any and all opportunities to blast the hell out of them publicly, to embarrass them (to the extent the swine are capable of feeling guilt) and tossing their filthy asses out into the back alley is not to be passed up.

They've declared war on us - screw them.

There. Tell you what - let's both take a few advil, drink a few dirty martinis, and call it a day. You're one of my favorite people, not just here and I'm sorry to have gotten on your nerves.
I'll even let you have the pearl onions.

Que sera, sera

LOL, thanks likewise.

Didn't mean to be -unty.

I just get nervous when I see elation and bitter anger. Surely there is a whole plethora of emotions in between?

I had better stop now. It's all coming out inflamatory, and it's not meant to be. *SIGH*

Tomorrow is another day

I am sorry for tearing into this like a perfect steak,

But it is just so damn interesting the way these people keep getting caught and they almost all get caught in ways that expose their sexual hypocrisy. I'm afraid that many, many people have set themselves up for a run in with that stern mistress KARMA. There was a song in the 60s with the line, "I'll pay you back with interest." That does not begin to disclose the terms of the deal. There is principal, of course, and interest, naturally, then surcharges, penalties, liens, attachment of assets, collection fees, court costs and maybe scheduled estimated future payments. And all because people won't believe that their Creator loves them just as they were made; like the bumper sticker says, "Born right the first time."

I've had it

with the christianists and the Rethuglicans.

If some gay men are foolish enough to think that by acting like Uncle Toms they can save their necks from the christianists when they bring their pogroms to America, that's their problem.

No more Mr. Nice-gay for me. I'm calling a pig what it is: A christianist and a Rethuglican. It is 2009, if some ultra-conservative, self-loathing gay man hasn't figured out the difference by now, well, to put it in Canadian: Tough-titties. In a witches' bra. Of brass, flying, in an Alberta snowstorm, in February.

The conservatives will burn you just as fast as they did the gays, the Jews, the handicapped, the Sinti and the Roma in the Nazi era. You can wave your Rethuglican party card and your membership in the Bible-thumping Church of the Total Lie as much as you like.

Not five minutes walk from my apartment here in Munich is a train station where they carted the gays, the devout Christians, the socialists and the Jews off to Dachau. That is the reality of christianist politics. The Nazis were able to do what they did because the Pope and the Bible-Thumpers stood behind them.

Enough. Our gay brothers and sisters will soon be swinging from the gallows thanks to gays who won't speak up. Their blood is on the hands of every gay man who votes for the Rethuglicans, on the hands of every gay man who supports the fundamentalist/evangelical/conservative/Bible-Thumping and Catholic churches.

Don't like it, so not my problem. This is war. You're either with us against civil injustice or you're part of the problem.

Shane,

I genuinely hope you will be permitted to continue to sail that barge down the river denial for as long as you like.

You have every right to your political positions and religious convictions.

If the revelations of the last weeks aren't sufficient to give you even a moment's pause, then, truly, nothing short of them breaking down your door in the middle of the night and dragging you off to your torture and death will.

And you'll be screaming the whole way that you've been a brave little conservative soldier in the movement from the very beginning.

When the Nazis confiscated the property of Jews and homosexuals who had been party members (prior to their murder), they often wrote charming little texts to put up on plaques outside those homes and factories: Donated to the good cause by the late party member so and so.

Enjoy your fool's paradise. For, that's exactly what it is.

Fool's Paradise??

Keven,

I always find your posts so amusing. Your assumptions about my political and religious convictions are interesting given you don't know me on a personal level, and most likely, never will. If you took the time to listen to people, and embrace genuine differences, maybe your opinions/beliefs might be taken more to heart. Your insessant bashing of Republicans and Christians do nothing to help further honest debate amongst friends here in the washer club. All it does is alienate some of our more conservative/moderate club members who happen to share a mutual love of appliances. Many members have chosen to leave this club because of this. I have purposely layed low from posting on AW.org because I do not want to engage in inflammatory, political posturing. That is not fair to Robert, and it is not what I am about. I have gotten into political disagreements with people on this site, and what is sad is had I known some of these people personally, we would probably be good friends.

I was a die hard Democrat for many years, up until rather recently, to be honest. IMO, The Democratic Party uses the gay community over and over, promises the sun, moon, and stars, only to never deliver on most of their promises. If you choose to believe the Democratic party is the party for gay rights, you may want to investigate that further. Look at New York State, heavily Democratic, with a Democratic controlled legislature, and they don't even have the COURAGE to legalize/vote on same sex marriage! There was supposed to be a vote on marriage equality in the New York State Senate last week, but a minority of Democrats joined Republicans to block a vote on the bill. Among the Anti-Gay Democrats is New York State Senator, Rubén Díaz,( Google his name for more info) who explained that the reason he is working to prevent the marriage equality bill from coming up for a vote is that his "personal religion" tells him that same-sex marriage is wrong. This is precisely why I gave up on the Democrats. You would expect the majority of Republicans to vote against same sex marriage, but lately we are seeing more and more Democrats showing their true colors. Other than passing hate crimes legislation in Congress, what have the Democrats done to deliver on their promises to the Gay Community? A big, fat nothing! Now, I realize, people are saying, "Oh, Obama has only been President for one year, give him some time" Well, time is not on our side. Given the state of the economy, and rising unemployment, the Democrats WILL lose many seats in the 2010 midterms. It is likely the Democrats will not have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate next year. Any chance of seeing DOMA overturned, or "Don't Ask, Don't Tell, will be lost. Who are you going to blame for this? The Republicans?, The Christianists?
Not all Republicans are against us. Look at the conservative leaning, U.S. Supreme Court’s (Lawrence vs Texas),2003 decision that repealed sodomy laws nationwide, and civil rights in the 1960s. How about Theodore Olsen, Solicitor General under Former President Bush, who filed a lawsuit in U.S. federal court to force federal recognition of same-sex marriage? He is currently fighting to get Prop 8 overturned in California. I refuse to allow the GOP to be highjacked by the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity. There are many moderate voices being silenced by the far right. Like it or not, we have 2 major political parties in the USA, sooner or later the GOP will have control of government again. Don't you think it is wise for moderates/liberals who identify as Republican to take the party back from the extremists??

Let's not turn this thread ugly. If you have a response to my post, feel free to email me privately.

But, Shane,

I know exactly what your political and religious convictions are.
They are precisely those which are always diametrically in opposition to whatever position I take.
Without exception.

Yup, you're that simple to figure out - I say it's Thursday, you will say either: "It is the day before Friday" or "It is the day after Wednesday".

Been this way for years, I don't even remember when you decided that whatever I stood for, you opposed, but never mind.

Now, if you had not made the referent to the topic being nuts, I'd say, yeah - agree to disagree and let it go. After all, what's a few Negroes swinging in the wind in Africa?

Either you're jumping in because you enjoy disagreeing with me (nothing wrong with that) or because you really do find nothing wrong with seeing Negroes murdered. No moderate, liberal or conservative aspect to this, really. It's all that simple: You're for stringing them up or against it.

Several of us here are pointing out that there are politicians and religious leaders in the US who are for stringing them up. There's not a whit of evidence that they wouldn't be for stringing you, as a gay man up, if they could.

Suggestion: Since we both know that you'll disagree with everything I say on principle, why not just give it a rest? As for the moderates and conservatives around here who are so badly suffering because of the big, bad, panther, yeah, well, they can buy themselves some pizzas and beer and salve their wounded feelers watching the first black men swinging. Ugandan justice stipulates death by strangulation, not breaking necks, so there will be lots of time to enjoy and even freeze frame or slo-mo those men as they slowly die in agony.

Queer...Proud...and Legal in Iowa. And if you don't like it you can move to Kansas, they still try to burn gay teachers there. "Our Liberties We Prize And Our Rights We Will Maintain". Oh-Oh...someone will think I am an agitator...now THERE is a crappy pun! Timers timers timers, solenoids, bearing and shaft kit, pump assembly...there, now the topic is back to appliances and suds. I'm just having fun. Play nicely folks.
