Dutch Oven and room heater!
Which model did you find, Hans? I had two, one with and one without the deepwell cooker. I combined the best of two into one. It was a fine cooking stove and the best baking oven I've ever used. That insulated oven and the heavy cast iron plate in the bottom ensured even and beautiful baking for everything.
That said, it came with a price! That oven took 20-30 minutes minimum to preheat, but if you have the time it's worth it. What Tom said is true, cooler weather is better for gas cooking in general but nearly essential with the Dutch Oven. I've never had an appliance heat up a room like that Maytag, and kept it warm with the pilot lights but you could easily eliminate that by turning off the pilots and match lighting it.
I have several service manuals for these ranges if you need, but you've worked on more than a few gas stoves and the DO is pretty straightforward in design. Remove the lower plate in the oven before you attempt to move it - it's a beast of a range!
