I got a call from a buddy on Saturday about this fine refrigerator. I asked him to buy it and I fetched it yesterday. It was dead, but a couple hours or wiring brought it back. It's likely a 1937 or 1938. It's the first fridge of this vintage I've seen with a good door gasket!

Inside...

The Westinghouse safety indicator(thermometer) reads that it's operating in the safe zone.

Oh my Travis - this Westy is beautiful! Appears to be an all porcelain cabinet as well. Thanks for posting this great find.

Did you happen to get some photos of the double door back-breaker you picked up a few months ago?

You really need to come see me. I need more space. I have little paths that only I can squeeze through. Ask Chris he knows

Beautiful fridge Travis! I'll have to post a couple pictures of my 1930's GE beer fridge when I get a chance, it's just screams vintage!

Looks mint!

What a great find!
What a work of art!
Beautiful!
Congratulations!

What a Jewel Travis

And it looks so much like my '39 except the cold control on mine was the later large wheel type behind the lower front panel. I like the size of this one, maybe half again larger than the one I had. Mine had the original gasket that was cracked only in one corner where during some period of time it must have gotten more smashed.

Have fun with this one Travis. It's a keeper for sure and I'll bet it purrs. Can you find a model number on it anywhere?

Wow, 70 years later and it looks like it just came out of the box, from the factory. Back in the day "they" knew how to put porcelain on appliances didnt they? Best of luck with it. alr2903

oh man.....

your fridge is just so cool.

It's great you got it working too.

I'd love to have one like that.
