We just got back from Wadesboro NC with another WH, This one is a 40 inch with a clock and fluorescent light, I believe its the same year as the 30 inch I got a while back, just more deluxe...and HEAVY..It weighs twice what a new stove will weigh!Really clean and absolutely NO rust or grease build up, a one owner stove, I bought it from a very nice lady who said it was her older sisters who passed away recently ,She said and I believe it, that her Sister cleaned all the time.I will try to get some pictures of both ranges so you can see the difference.

40" Westinghouse Range

Congratulations to a fellow Westinghouse Speed Electric Range owner on your recent acquisition! Yes, the 40 inchers are really heavy but built like tanks. I have two 1956 40's Model AK's one is a daily driver and one is for parts. They are great ranges even though the consoles can be a challenge to repair.... Westinghouse's 40 inchers have a great electronic control RR burner-hope yours has one, I use mine everyday!!! I grew up in the town where they were manufactured- Mansfield, Ohio, once known as Westinghouse Appliance Headquarters and Westy appliances are still all around! I just recently found this site and it's Great!!!!

I plan

To make a trip to Ohio sometime this year, and Mansfield and Dayton are 2 places I want to go,...with that much manufacturing their is bound to be interesting finds in the antique malls and junk shops.
