Grab it, I would if it was anywhere near here! An oven element should not be that difficult to find.

The element for the large oven should not be an issue.  A few years back I was able to have one made for my mom's '49 Westinghouse at the appliance parts store down the street and the price was reasonable.  Just bring the failed element in with you and they'll use it as a model for the new one.

Fabulous find! You might let him know that the term is "oven." This is from around 1960-61. These ovens, even the doors, are heavily insulated.
