Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I hope someone over that way rescues this one.  I believe it is the one with a agitator. Not an impeller. If in working condition  could be lots of fun. The spinner very useful.

Gearcase

I believe it uses a gear case/transmission rather than a pulsing motor. Must be like regular SQ agitation, right?

Neat interactive washer-that would be nice to have!!Like the agitator better than the impeller. The beast is noisey-but gets the job done. And you can adjust the agitator for normal or gentle use.NICE!!Really good "Demo" video of this machine.Looks like there is a heat coil in the wash tub.

Supertwin

This machine could be late 1960s or early 1970s based on the UK design of the time, the one in Malcolm's video is actually the last iteration of this machine although operation is fundamentally the same. It may not have the additional insert on the top of the agitator (to give a more powerful wash) as I believe the similar Simplicity (Canadian) models had a two speed motor to differentiate between the two washer actions. My Supertwin is actually the quietest of all my twin tubs, and I consider it quiet and smooth.

For $50 I would say go for it, AND GO NOW!
