I have a Neptune 5500 that is showing an "FL" fault code. This is the Neptune that uses a lock solenoid instead of the troubled wax motor setup. Is there a walk around that can get me going again while I locate a new part?

just out of curiousity, did you check the connections?...

otherwise it suggest:

faulty door lock solenoid
faulty door lock switch
faulty door lock sense switch

or bad control board....

which function is it 'not' doing?...you may only need one part

let me how you make out....

Well after much procrastination I finally broke out the tools and began troubleshooting the Neptune.
I knew the door switch was working because the control panel would light up everytime the door was opened.
After I got the door off, removed the front cover, undid the detergent dispenser and lifted the top, exposing the lock assembly. I moved each of the lock actuators levers back and forth checking for any binding. I also pulled each of the 3 wire connectors and reinstalled them. I rehung the door and started the washer and the door locked like it should. Tried it a few more times and when I was comfortable there were no more issues I reassembled the washer. Ran a few loads and no more "FL" code.
Niiiiice!!!!

Very Niiiiiice!....

I was gonna add, a small drop of oil on the actuator and lock mechanism may not hurt at this point...

I will check on the feet for you....

amazing how many machines have gone back to all 4 legs to be adjustable instead of the rear self leveling, you would have thought by now all 4 would be self leveling...

Just a hunch..

But, one has heard lots of stories, of Soil Sensors, covered in nasty grime, from Detergent & Cold Water rinsing buildup. It's probably not this, but something to keep in mind.
