I did the test and it's only slightly faster on the new site.
I don't know that I'm armed with enough convincing information to get tech support to listen to me. I anticipate finger pointing when I advise that the webmaster has zeroed in on AT&T as the carrier for everyone who is having problems.
Just a few minutes ago while scrolling down a different thread, the scroll bar just stopped and my cursor left it behind. Not the first time that's happened either.
