for a g.e. impeller dishwasher 1sp40n.

i am confused on how the drain pump fits into the wiring, and also wondering if that dishwasher used a pressure switch on it's fill.

i've had mine since 2012 but never really did it justice. giving it a complete tune up now!

Pete, I don't have a specific manual for this machine, however I am pretty sure that I have a wiring diagram in a GE Repair-Master for dishwashers. I'll have to get back to the other house to get to it, but I'll post if I can find anything useful.

There is a pressure switch in these impeller machines - to cut out the water valve to prevent too much water entering the tub and to run the pump if the water kept flowing in the event of an impeller motor failure.

I've got this exact model, too!

gonna have this one running in a couple days here, as time permits. something about these old impeller machines i really like!

I've got this one and also a bowtie that came from kelley's island in lake erie. picked up a old pull out dishwasher drawer model a couple years ago too that i have not touched yet.

now that i'm basically 70 and almost retired i decided to tear into some of these machines again! good way to stay out of trouble!
