Screenshot is from "Le Chat" a masterpiece of French cinema.

Have never seen such huge backsplashes, I wonder if someone can identify the washers, they are most likely of French or Italian origin.

Nicht ganz sicher

hi Stefan,

Joe

Thanks for your reply Joe, I also thought about the possibillity they might be just normal household machines that had later been equipped with some coin meter or maybe it`s only the instructions for use what appears to be a backsplash, but I also miss a timer at the front panel.

What??? LOL

Those looks like Constructa of the K4 models, K4-F models to be exact.. to me, but I gotta say never seen one with a stainless top, also, some seems to have the rubber ring on the door, others don't... those backsplashes seems like a sort of coin operated automatic detergent dispenser...
If I was obliged to go with a front loader, a constructa machine like those would would be worth a tought, no suspensions though...
Funny...just saw one today on display in the town's appliance repair store window, entered to ask...the man is fixing it for an old lady and tought well to display the machine with it's back opened...

Uh... after this thread I got on youtube to look for newer videos of these constructas, and popped up also a Baucknecht one never seen before...
Looks like these Are baucknecht, because the constructa had a door lever different than these....you can see the protuberance on the door and the handle/lever inside...
See (BTW Boilwashing colors??? Uh!)

I was surprised to see that you could open the door to the machine while it was running during the "spin" portion of the cycle.

Typing schultess online pops out many results of older machines, but they miss the window lever like the bauchnecht in the video but the schultess I see online have all black handels, it's interesting though to see some works with key plates....may those backsplashes have something to do with this? If they're not some kind of coin operated detergent dispensers then must be something that have to do with the program...still weird the thing of windows...
