Anyone want a KitchenAid Dishwasher for free?

This KitchenAid came in the house my partner and I just bought. I do not know if it works, since there is no electricty or water hooked up to the house right now. When I removed the dishwasher, it was not hooked up. Which leads me to think it doesn't work, but who knows. I would keep it, but I'm putting in the mid 50's Pink Hotpoint dishwasher that Nate gave me. So I really don't need another one. If anyone wants the KitchenAid they are more than welcome to have it. It is located in Phoenix, Arizona. I cannot ship but will help in anyway I can. If nobody wants it I'll end up keeping it. Even though Steve will KILL me. LOL. Here are the pictures of it.

Hmmm!! A Hybrid!

Well this is actually a KDS15 Superba, much in demand I would think by many members on this site. However, it does not have the original racks but rather, a set of racks from a 16 or 17 series machine. With the fully adjustable, 16 position upper rack and the "flex-o-dividers."

If both of the side rails are there, you should be able to mount them and use them. The 15 did use a different set of rails for the original racks and to adjust them, you would lift the rack on to a set of hook devices on each side so you could adjust each side independently. The rollers should be the same size so try to reinstall the rails and rack and then take some more pictures. I would venture to guess that it will probably still be in working order if you hook it up to try. And even if it doesn't work, there are still many out there that can be used for parts to cobble this one back together.

Definitely a "Hurricane in a box" machine with the inherent loading issues that come with the single 4 way Hydrosweep washarm, but we all know how well it will wash. And don't forget the 180 degree final rinse. Always a Hobart exclusive!

I have that machine and love it, but I can understand your preference, especially given that the Hotpoint is mint and that machine is...more like original-flavor Listerine

Nevertheless, as Steve said, it is a hurricane in a box. Mine has never disappointed me, even with the occasionally brain-damaged loading I do.

Interesting top-rack--mine has the original with the curly-cue tines and lift-to-adjust height mechanism. Either way, great machine, and ever since Greg gave me mine, I've never had so much as a cold, thanks to that Sani Cycle! :-D

If someone is truly intrested in it, but can't afford the shipping. I can either save it for the next Arizona wash-in(Have to ask Ross when it will be), or if you are somewhere in between Phoenix, Arizona and Rochester, MN, I might deliver it to you when I go back to MN to visit in the summer. I just want to see this machine go to a good home where it will be used.

You may want to keep that baby as a backup in case the Hotpoint gives you problems in the future. When it comes to using vintage appliances over 30 years old as daily drivers, spare backup machines pretty much mandatory.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I think that if something ever goes wrong with the hotpoint I'll fix it. I'm not a big fan of the kitchenaid. Plus I also have a ge mobile maid as a backup.
