Hey Guys

Well I just thought I would share this one and see if anyone else has experienced this.

I have loved washing machines since I could remember. Now my nephew is 2years old he has now taken a giant interest in vacuum cleaners! He goes crazy for them. Reminiscent of myself with washers as a kid! I wonder if this is just coincidence for 2 members of a family to share an appliance hobby!

Have any of you experienced this?

Darren

Hi Darren :)
my two Nicee's both like washers funnily enough!!
my 1 year old Nicee loves to watch the machine whilst my 3 year old nicee
likes to program the machine and watch it. They have picked up on my hobbies LOL

In my family I am the only one who cares about appliances. I think it's because I'm a highly technical person. The rest of my family just doesn't care one way or another. But they do ask me questions from time to time, when I answer them the usual response is "How do you know all this stuff?"

My response: I read it on aw.org!

One thing I can't understand is my sisters laundry habits. She has a Kenmore 2T FL machine. She puts liquid detergent in by the cupful, washes only in cold water and never leaves the door open (cats will use washer or dryer as litter box). She's had this machine for 6 years and never had one problem. And it never has developed mold.
Go figure.

Hey thanks for the responses guys!

Ha! Nice work there Austin!

Tom! Funny you mention that, my 2 kids (from my previous straight relationship) always come and sit on my knee if i've ever sat infront of it for any length of time lol. I used to have to move my eldest out the way LOL If i'd have wanted my view blocking i'd have bought an indesit moon :-p haha.

I saw my nephew today and he brought his little toy numatic henry with him! lol! then got the argos book out to look at the vacs! funny as I used to do the same thing with my casdon hoover electron toy washer and latest brochures my nan would get me!

Hmmmmm as far as I know, I'm the only one in my family on both my mothers side and my fathers side that has an interest in washers and dryers. Although I do remember years ago, our old landlords son, who was probably 4 or 5 at the time was into vaccum cleaners. This was in like 1991. I sometimes wonder if he still has an interest in them. For all I know he may be a member of Vaccumland lol.

@Darren :)

LOL! my nice (the 1 year old) lives smack bam next door to me so i see her every day, and my nans flat is also next to me and i have accses to her house to my house an one day i flung a load of nan's bedding in her slimline zanussi washer
and my nicce was crawling arond on the floor(she's learning to walk) and whent to the washer and pushed herself up on the machines door and whent to turn it off!
i made a mad run to grab her from infront of the machine and we ended up sliding across the lamanate floor LOL

Funny this subject should come up now.  My 4 year old nephew is staying with us this week, and all he wants to do is help Uncle Tim put "stuff" in the washer and watch it "wiggle", too funny!  I think we may have a new member in the making. lol

Hey guys

I've loved washing machines and vacuum cleaners etc since I was a weeee kid! People in the family and friends found it a weird obsession but now my cosins son is intrigued by the vacuum cleaner, (dysos) to be precise and one of my family friend's daughter who is 8 months loves watching the wash in prgress!

She always says you've rubbed some of your magic on her! lol
