Are There Any Collectors Near Charlotte, NC?

We are in the process of packing and selling our house and lot, and moving to the Charlotte, NC area. I am taking early retirement from here and taking another job there. We wanted to live between Raleigh and Wilmington, but that didn't work out.

If there are any collectors in or around Charlotte, please hit me up. I may not get to answer immediately as I am still on vacation working with various contractors to get the house ready to sell.

I'm going to auction off somewhere around 110-120 Lionel and American Flyer boxed sets as I can't take them all. I would like to bring all of my washers & dryers and Frigidaire parts with me.

I,am in Mocksville, about an hour away, Jerry Gay and Bob ORear are in Winston Salem, these are not next door, but are an easy drive.Then you have several guys in Virginia, Mark Harman in Withville and Robert Perdue and Steve Soloman in Roanoke.

Hi Rich -

I am right here in the midst of Charlotte. To my knowledge I am the only collector in town, but there is a good friend of mine who is a lurker on the site who isn't far as well.

If you would like to overdose on Kenmores some time (I can't imagine that with your interest in Frigidaires but I'm happy to show you my machines), get a tour of the city from someone who has lived here for 30 years in 6 different homes, get some tips on housing, restaurants, shopping, recreation, etc. then drop me a line any time. I'd love to meet you.

I appreciate all the info. Gordon, once I'm in the area, I'll hit you up. I don't know the exact time table yet, but my official retirement date is October 1 and I have a few weeks of vacation to take prior. I'm still trying to get the house in order to list as the realtor says she has a buyer in mind.
