ariston drum style's

i don't know about everyone else but i always prefared the old ariston drum style rather than teh newer hotpoint/ariston style, what does everyone else think

I have the new Hotpoint drum though in my WT761 :-D

i think they should have kept this drum style, its the best one theyve had so far, some of the powerpoint machines had this drum aswel

Hi luke! i like ariston machines as well just never seen them wash, have some cool pics of them, we have them in the states i have them on my floor at my job im in applances there under the merloni group. Put there pulling there line because of service and the new name here is not getting alot of response soo.... thats sad. Qwestion... do you remember the models that had the soak & rain action,I love that name of it, and love to see that work maybe you have and i read in some uk magazine about the cashmere cycle that spins i guess around 60 or 80 RPM's and press them agents the wall of the tub as wash water bathes the fibers which dosent strecth & pull the yarn instead of drop and left action that other machines do. Even slow rotation or cradle washing is nice i think the cashmere cycle on the ariston is pretty advance washing action, compared to the compatition what do you think or the groups response? Soak and rain

It was basicly a line of holes in the "lifters" that scooped up water and "rained" it back on the wash load once the lifter reached the top of the drum and was upside down. It was fun to watch but have no idea about the effectivness of it.

I think all the Ariston/ Indesit/ Hotpoint machines made today have a the cashmere cycle under the woolens cycle. My mums machine basicly distrubutes for the whole cycle. Only stopping for some of the wash and balancing the load before spinning. Its entertaining!

Infact i'm sure that the drum pictured above had the soak and rain action! You can see the line of holes in the lifter.

The Margherita Mulinello is the top model Ariston isn't it? Made between the late 80's to mid 90's I think. But I could be wrong!

How come you don't like it? Is it because it's not reliable?
