Surprise,Surprise,Surprise !!!!
I hooked up the New KDS-18 today. Upon turning the water supply on....GUSH !!!!!! Water everywhere. I did a water test for leaks in my "ShowRoom" with out having a water supply and no leaks from the pump or the Drain Valve. After installing her, WOW. What's this all about ?
Look what I found. This is from the machine being outside for 2 hours.

I was so glad

I had my other KDS18 waiting in the wings. So I skunked the fill valve off that one. Now she's running perfect

Interested in a KDS20 ? This machine is immaculate. I picked up this one this summer. She's an Energy Saver V. Pristine Wash Chamber, Racks, and runs "Superbly" for a Surperba.

Ouch! That water valve definitely froze and cracked...
Thinking about that KDS-20... I DO need to a KA to my collection!

You know...

Sometimes you just feel comfortable with one particular model.This machine needs some modifications, or adjustments. But I like the 18's for their cleaning ability.I love all 5 KitchenAids that I have. The 18 and the 20 are "Random Racking. The rest are very particular. You have to really give them thought when washing Pots and Pans. That is why I refer to any KitchenAid model that does not have a spray arm for the upper rack..."Truely a Dishwasher". They were not designed to have everything thrown in them. If you could fit a Pot or Pan into them with out blocking the spray, you did it by hand. But back in the "Day", you were lucky to have a machine that did the Dishes, Glasses and the Flatwear.

Vintage Insinkerator dishwasher TOL or

Vintage Matag the insinkerator is like new KA through & through or a reverse rack Matag TOL . Which one should I choose as my dailey driver. They both were brought to my attention on the same day. I cannot make up my mind. Your opinion will help. Thank You Mike
