guys is it possible to exchange the agitator from my Maytag performa out with a Whirlpool Gold. I prefer the dual action agitator

I think that would be rather hard to do. I am assuming the Performa is of Maytag design and not a Whirltag. If this is the case, the difference in design may be prohibitive to such an alteration, but I digress.

This really is a better question for the Deluxe forum, since it seems like you are talking about machines post 1985.
