Attention Frigidaire Loving Members!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

....so many times....

...I have gone the distance only to find a very few of the washer/dryer parts left. When there are a few w/d parts, they are usually the springs or parts that are still available from other members. I would not bid unless I had seen exactly what is available. I'm eagerly awaiting Steve's return. Mark

Hello fellow members of this wonderful same interest of JOY.
Jeff and I got there right a 2 like I had told the owner. All I can say at this point is OMG.

Timer's
Timer Motors
Pulsators
Books
Service Manuels
TechTalk catalogs
Fabric Softner Dispensers
Transmissions (Only saw for skinny Mini)
Switches
Knobs
Pressure Switches
Spare Washer Tubs (perferated)
Some tools (Frigidaire)
Lint Chaser rings
Caps for the agitators
Original parts galore!!!!!!!!!!!!! All in their boxes.
Ton's of appliances, but only 4 W/D. (Just trashed everything last week) - I was dying - literaly, sweat, dialated pupils etc.

Jim and his Brother Paul were exceptionaly nice folks. The story goes, their father was the local Frigidaire dealer starting in 1940. He was ill in 1985, passed and Jim took over the business. Still with a plethera of customers in that area of MS, mostly Frigidaire GM customers, they maintained inventory to service all these customers. Jim is ready to retire now. However will still on a part time basis still service appliances. The show room was long gone, since WCI. They hate it, we talked for 4 hours and WCI was the sour subject.

These fellows have no idea what they have in their now called warehouse. Very dusty, but yet all is sorted by part #. It was really amazing.

Now they also have:
A 1930's something ABC wringer, very cool
Flaire Stove
Beautiful Refrigerators by GM
Some dishwashers not of a vintage however
Tons of spare parts everywhere that are not labeled.
Dashers like crazy

What their wish is is to have someone who can use or sell the parts on the as need basis, then may be interested in what's left over as far as appliances.

Ok guys, I am going to be Frank. We came home with 4, that are not listed on the auction, nor are/were they a part of the auction! That's why I felt a trip was in order, since I live so close.

1 WJ-60A serial number 71E283 (Unimatic)
1 TJ-60 serial number 15SA995 (Dryer)

1 DI-57 (Control tower dryer)

and a 1-18 (Cannot read the model I think WC-I?)

Guess what, They all WORK just great. Cosmetics are in order however.

Ok here is the worst. We came thru Biloxi and were crying due to the distruction we encountered from Katrina. I will try to post some of what we saw in a bit.

These folks are real people, and are wonderful to talk to. They know it all.

A huge fan of and many thanks to our friend

Launderess for posting all the ebay sales etc.

If you had not done this, then this wonderful treasure trove would not have been discovered by me, so you get the award, not me.

What can I do for your kindness??????????????

Love,

Steve

Steve,

CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT HAUL!!!! That WJ-60 is quite a find...if I remember correctly it makes the second 1947 Frigidaire known in existence! And another 1957 Filtrator as well--simply amazing! Definitely will make some fun projects; they all appear to be in good shape.

What kinds of parts did you grab? And please tell me you took the yellow Frigidaire refrigerator with the power door opener! ;-)

The warehouse pics

Don't mean to be all over the board with things, but the all the pictures of the parts will not post on the site. I will be happy to email anyone the shots we took.

there were (3) 45' shelves, double sided full of parts as mentioned above in original boxes. Tons of washer parts. It is a wonderful gold mine there. I will watch this auction as necessary and if I do not win, then be happy to assist whoever does, again, since I live so close.

Steve

Your Unimatic is also a "cabinet-tub" model like mine...when we ran that sheet load in it last December, did you put your hand on the front of the machine as it was throwing the water out?

Not to mention the incredible sound it makes as the water flies out and crashes against the sides of the cabinet...
