Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

spray rinses

I can't recall correctly, but i believe the early seventies Norge's had four spray rinses per spin. Reminded me of Kenmore washers.

Ours also had the semi-neutral drain also. All in all a great workhorse and very well built. I know blah,blah,blah LOL.

I just LOVE SS. That timer dial rocks my world!
What are the two cycles, can't quite make it out.

Mom's had a regular and a pre-wash cycle. As as I said earlier, the speeds were controlled by the pre-programmed buttons.

Pre-wash ==> Fill-wash-drain-spin

Other than the huge "CLUNKS" of the spin solenoid engaging, it was a good machine. Mechanically it resemtbed a Maytag to the point that I believe the drive-belt was also below/underneath the base.

I loved my aunt's Norge washer. It had a suds saver. When you would start the washer on the suds return cycle, the agitator would splash and kick up a tremendous amount of suds. Actually, the lid lock was engaged during the suds return cycle. But by then, I knew how to defeat it.:D
