Avanti Automatic Washer Model W752P

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

very cool Louie, thanks for the vids.....there doesn't seem to be many on youtube

found the operation a bit odd or different than mine, I would reduce that water level a bit to just under the balance ring so the waterfall can spray over the load....odd that it started to agitate and still fill....

I was wondering about the spin sprays, yours are automatic, on mine I can delete/add up to two spin sprays, and two deep rinses.....or any combination....or even cancel them out...as years went on, they added better flexible programming.....the newer ones allow for an 'Air Dry' option of a long extended spin...

what is your take on the size of load, and how well it handles it Louie?...

I always say if your going to have one vintage set, you should have one of these as a backup just in case......handles a decent size load, yet small enough to tuck just about anywhere...

It can be programed Martin, I have tried the double rinse and you can delete certain actions. As far as loads go, it has handled them well, no tangling. Everything comes out clean. It's also the quietest machine I've had so far. Like I said, I'd LOVE to keep it, but too much stuff piling up.

Thanks Louis. I just have way too many appliances. 2 Refrigerator/freezers, 1 floor freezer, 2 stoves, 2 dryers, 3 washers. And not to mention over 10 boxes of vintage Christmas decorations I scored (don't ask, :) ),  2 large aquariums....whew! And way, way too many tools. Until I build that laundry closet, I just can't take any more stuff.

They really are great machines, I love mine. Only thing I don't like is the way it washes causes clothes to get all tangled up. But not a big deal. Mine is really loud during spin too. I'll take a look at the lid switch on my days off!

The Avanti has found a new home. I'm sorry it's gone.

I got a chance to see a most similar model Avanti recently. A number of things about it impressed me:

- It probably has the highest ratio of wash capacity to volume of machine I've ever seen. It was almost like the Tardis; bigger inside than outside.
- You could set the machine to do what you wanted it to do.
- The sounds it made were all those of well-built, smoothly operating machinery, very pleasant to listen to.
- It's light and easy to carry/move.

An Avanti is def something I'll keep in the back of my mind for the future.

Thanks for the great vids.

Jim
