Bad Laundry habits! help!

well...

i sort as follows and never have issues:
summer - darks (cold), lights+brights(warm), whites(warm/hot), towels(hot), linen(hot), white linen
winter - darks, lights+brights, jerseys, jackets/big tops/track pants, jeans, whites, towels, linen, white linen
have never had issues wih top or front loader (i have 1 of each) i use a handwash powder in both machines (OMO multi active its the best in the country. if you have a south african shop try some it can clean ANYTHING) and skip perfect white for whites
line dry 95% of all washes and tumble dry certain things

for stains

I discovered about 11 years ago after major surgery, Biz powder does wonders on just about any stain.  I haven't really checked for stains since then--which used to add considerale amount off time to doing laundry as I was inspecting every garment that MIGHT have stains on it.  I simply add Biz to my detergent and off I go.

We use oxiclean spray on stains and it seems to work well. Don't have too many stains that need pretreated though. I ran two loads today, a colored load in warm, washed for 12 minutes on the wrinkle free cycle, then dried on the automatic wrinkle free cycle, and a whites/ pastels load, washed in hot for 12 minutes on the wrinkle free cycle, drying on the automatic wrinkle free cycle, and I have to admit, the clothes look, feel and smell better.
