Hello all, last year I bought a 1990 Whirlpool dryer in which I’d never seen what the matching washer looked like, as it had a very particular white control panel with chrome side moldings. I bought my washer and dryer from a refurbished appliance store and they had tons of direct drives, so I took the ultimate care 2 and that dryer came with it. Anyways, I could never find the matching washer anywhere online, until today. Beautiful set on marketplace close to where I’m at. I like my Ultimate Care 2 from 96 much better though than the matching washer for my dryer, as they are very basic models. They are in such great condition as well. Mine just has more options that I’d be missing out on if I were to switch, plus a vintage Maytag or speed Queen is definitely in my future.

I have the exact same dryer, I’d love to pick this set up but I neither have a truck or anywhere to store them. Never seen the matching washer before you this odd dryer.

Talking about refurbs I went to my local appliance shop today to see what they had and they have another 24" Estate DD that looks older than the one I got a couple of months ago. They were testing it but I saw it had 4 water temp options. I gave them my information and told him to call me when it's done.

There was an interior shot of both, the tub on the washer is a standard size with the dual action two piece agitator, obviously the shorter one for it being the standard size tub. So yes they were a base couple. I wondered the same thing when I couldn’t find the matching washer and then one day out of no where an ad comes up for that set on my Facebook.
