Whirlpool Imperial Mark 18s
Very good pair of machines, I believe that these were the only set of machines that ever wore the name Imperial Mark 18 from WP.
It is very cool that they were both produced the same week of the August in 1975 even though they were assembled in two different factories in Ohio, I wounder how long they were in their boxes till they got together ?, but it was a great marriage, LOL.
These machines should both get at least some servicing if you are going to start using them regularly. The washer should have a couple drops of oil applied to the clutch pulley bearing, doing this can prevent a big tear down and repair.
The dryer should be cleaned and the idler pulley and motor oiled, the rear rollers can be oiled or replaced as well as inspecting the or replacing the belt in both machines.
If you really want to get into the washer you could take the washer basket out and inspect for rust in the outer tub, it is easier to address rust before you have holes in the outer tub.
I was working a a MT-WP dealer when these were sold and we sold a few pairs, the only complaints we ever got was the agitation was a little bit anemic and the next year when WP came out with the Double Duty Sugulator agitator we changed out of few of the orignal agitators. WP also had a few walking complaints with these machines, they even came up with an auxiliary balance ring that could be fitted inside the top edge of the wash basket to help this problem.
Good Luck with these beauties, if you want any more details about servicing these machines feel free to get in touch.
