It has come to our attention that a purchased connector component has been supplied to us which is not to our specification and that this component has been fitted to 1800 White Knight Condenser dryers built in Oct 2010. We believe that the use of this connector can potentially lead to overheating of the appliance and if left unresolved could create a potential fire hazard over time. We wish to find all of the affected dryers which lie within the serial numbers below, and replace them free of charge in order to eliminate the risk.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOUR DRYER IS AFFECTED
We are trying to identify the location of these machines in order to remove the potential risk associated with this connector. First, please check if you have one of the models listed above, and if so, please check whether your appliance has a serial number from the following list of potentially affected batches (the model and serial number can be found inside the door of your dryer as shown in the diagram).

I don't see why people buy the brand myself, we have a Beko washer but that's the landlords and the only reason I put up with its super long washes.

I guess some people just have a burning love for Bekos.

People buy Beko's because they're cheap. The washers are actually proving to be pretty good. Despite it's long wash cycles Jamie, there is no denying it washes well.

My sister has one of the higher end models with the more variable cycle times and that's a fantastic machine. I have noticed a big improvement in the performance of their dryers recently, but it's a shame about the problems they're having here with them. Hopefully, they'll get it sorted

Beko

Beko are proving to be fairly good for the prices, like AquaCycle says. Would rather buy a Beko than an Indesit. My mums friend had the Chinese Beko WM5101W that lasted for two years, with twice a day use. I think it will outlive the current Hotpoint Ultima thing.

I hate how Beko put the Mini 30 programme on their machines including the long washes which just convinces people to use a cold quick wash such as one of my neighbours but the other one uses cottons 40 and 60 pn her basic beko. They should have put daily washes on them as we'll as mini.

I have just bought a beko washing machine after dumping my eleven month old hotpoint. Its all digital and the wash times are not that bad 55 minutes for a 60degree which is quite good as it uses a lot of water being a 7kg

I'm a bit worried about the white knight condensor dryer I sold on e bay last year as that was only 8 months old and might be one of the recalled ones. It was a 7kg and I got rid as it was too hot.

11 month Hotpoint

Why would you dump a machine that's still in the warranty period?

hotpoint dumped

I dumped it as it was the worst machine I've ever owned. Nothing really came out that clean. The rinses were poor and always had to re rinse. Hardly used any water on the main wash even with the super wash button pressed.
I have never been a fan of beko in the past but this one is excellent. Quick wash times. Excellent washing results great spin better choice of wash programs. Cant fault it in any way.
