I though it might be better to continue on a new thread, the original is taking far too much of my computers guts to load up.

Saturday just gone I finished the remote valves and set about making a temporary plinth to stand the machine on.

The plinth being constructed from scrap wood and ply-boards sandwiching house bricks for weight and treaded steel bar pulling the whole lot together.

A complete and utter failure, so I moved the machine further back in the garage to where the other machine are housed, once I made my mind up on it’s location it was decided to drill the concrete floor and bolt the machine down as it would have been when first installed. Problem I don’t have the correct size rag bolts for the job.
Mathew (Keymatic3203) is paying a visit tomorrow to have a look over the Bendix and look at the other machines, ho well we will have to watch the wash action only.

Mathew sent a text to say he had arrived at the holiday let he was staying in for the week and he could pop round to a hardware store and acquire some rag bolts “ho yes please Mathew that would be great” some time later he text back to say he had them and the correct size drill bit too.

Sunday morning, Mathew arrived and we had bacon sandwiches and tea to gather our strength for the task ahead.

Basically I let the experienced hands of Mathew do the work, measurements made and the floor marked with tape, X marks the spot.
Mathew drilled a polite hole with a smaller bit first while I held the vacuum cleaner nozzle close to suck the dust up, then the big drill bit bored down into the concrete floor shacking the whole street.

The first rag bolt in place the machine was put into position and the second set of markings made with tape, again Mathew drilled the hole skilfully.

The machine was then placed in her permanent position, side on to some cupboards so the back could be accessed with out having to unbolt or move the machine for future repairs also giving room to remove the side panels if required.

The bolts where then treaded down into the rags, bit of a problem the rag where coming up before the binding claws gripped the concrete, again Mathews ingenuity came in and he fitted nuts to the bolts so these nut’s pushed the rags down while the bolts tightened under the machine till the binding tightened, job done.

Time for a cup of tea.

Just enough room to get into the cupboard and the Hoover electron behind her can be moved out for instant access to the back panel.

Well done. I seen the videos on YouTube and the machine seems to run sweet and on spin the machine is solid not a rattle or a movement. Thanks for taking the time to share and the videos. It's the first time ever I've seen one of these in action

Mathew adjusted the feet which firmed the machine up.

Next I lashed up two garden hoses, one attached to the hot tap on the bathroom wash basin with a very old tap adapter whose reliability was unknown.

The second garden hose was fitted to the outside cold tap.

Both hoses then connected the click lock adapters, we ready to power up the machine.

The first load was placed in the wash drum with some soap and the soak program selected, the machine started filling, the soak program washes at the warm temperature regardless of the heat setting switch.

This is the most satisfying thing to see, the stats control the water valves very accurately stopping and starting the valves to maintain the correct water temperature.

After a few moments the hot water reached the machine and the cold valve started cycling on and off repeatedly thought the fill.

At one point the hot stopped to cool things down also.

Some wash action.

The soak program runs for between 8 and 4 minutes then tumble drains followed by a very quick warm rinse more tumble draining followed by a short spin then stops.

Temperature reading taken during the soak program.

32.5c how very modern.

After the soak program the timer is advanced slowly till the machine starts again, the wash program is between 12 and 5 minuets.

The hot temperature setting fills with hot water only which my boiler heats the water to 51.7c

At the end of the wash the machine tumble drains and then commences the rinsing, now on the hot setting the rinses are done in hot water, like the wash at the temperature of you hot water supply.

If warm is selected it’s a mixed fill controlled by the stats to 32c

The first rinse finishes with tumble draining and a spin.

Another fantastic feature of this machine is on the hot setting some cold water is inject in as the machine comes out of the spin, which is controlled by the timer.

On the warm setting this also appears to happen making a nice splashing sound, it also cleans the drum of soap.

The machine rinses 3 times and then long spins, tumbles for a minute or two then switches off.

At this point Mathew re-tightened the feet and locked the locking nuts in place.

A further 2 loads where washed, video camera at the ready, she played up each time I tried to shoot some more clips, the start winding centrifugal switch stuck and the drum had to be turned to start the motor.

This evening she started no problem, so I think I will leave well alone for now and see if it persists.

All in all we both had a good mini wash.

Thank you Mathew for your hard work and expertise in fitting the machine, it's great sharing the moment of the first maiden wash.
