Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

maybe not the best, but its a start!

Went to the local used appliance store to look for parts for the fridge, and behold, outside of the store, just sitting on the sidewalk, this ole girl! I was sure it had a home, and asked if it was for sale.....It was, and I gave them $30.00 for it for scrap, and to call anytime somthing old comes in, as they always scrap em! it did not have a cord, so upon my return home, made one, plugged it in, and nothin. However, upon further inspection, there was a fuse hiding behind the front door. I tightened it, as it was loose, and...ITS ALIVE! Everything works, even the ulta violet bulb.... Im stoked! Its earlier than I was looking for, as I want a more retro look, but who's complaining?

You've all probably experienced this a lot already, but for me JOY!!!
My wife and I took the top and sides off disinfected her and dried two loads of wash!

Next, the quest for a Match, or trade for a more retro set!

I suggest Kenmores. My daily driver set is a 1963 Lady Kenmore set. I have had to do a couple of repairs to both, but for the most part they work great. I'm like you in that all my appliances in my house are vintage. The kenmore washer and dryer are actually the newest out of everything.

Insider Tip

Marty, get a hold of pdub in Beaverton.  He's an absolute genius and has a few extra machines.  More than that he is truly one of the nicest and most talented members of the group.
