Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Oh really? The best cleaning dishwasher uses the most hot water? Duh.

OTOH, there is no earthly reason for a household dryer to cost $1500.

Maytag refrigerator, when there is no such thing as Maytag any more and they weren't very good even when there was?

Whirlpool, when the government has outlawed pools (water)?

Sorry to be so cynical but I remember a time when one had to go out of one's way to buy bad American white goods. And now that's all there is.

In Germany, even the best Heat Pump dryers wont coast more than 1200 bugs. Except Miele, where 1300+ are easy to reach, but there are mostly any kind of an edition where the dryer is just 999 Euros with the most common features. Espacialy vented dryers are cheaper to build, so 1500$ are just not explainable in any way...

Speed queen dryer

Sounds like the testers didn't read the manual for this dryer. Or perhaps they have never done laundry before at all.

When the controls are set properly, this dryer is very fast and gentle on clothing.

Crazy review.  They ran the auto cycle at Max Dry, then complain that the machine ran for a long time and the clothes got very dry?  Do tell!

"No start button--you have to push the cycle select to make the machine go."  Uhhh, doesn't that qualify as a start button?

I find with that site is that they really have no idea what they are talking about. These guys have no clue and that dryer review proved it. Not to mention the dishwasher reviews and washer reviews. They make no mention of what detergent they are using for either type of machine because that will impact the results greatly. Lets say they are using Xtra liquid for a washer test one will get dismal results, now if one used Tide HE powder or Persil Universal , results would be drastically different. Same with dishwashers, my go to now is Somat Powder loaded with phosphates, results are outstanding. Or even the new Cascade Platinum results are very good, use a gel and results might be spotty. I have read a few reviews and they are lacking common sense. Don't get me started! Lol

I used to like them for stating actual temps that were reached during wash cycles - usually 90 to 100F even on Whitest Whites. Now, they're keepin' it simple and most of their "stories" are maybe a good read but not very scientific at all. Did you see that the author of the SQ dryer review is actually an actor? The dishwasher reviews are also interesting. Even if they have a WP, KA and Kenmore dishwasher with basically identical racks, they will still manage to load all three dishwashers differently.

Anyway, looking at the SQ review in detail, they did say it heated up very fast and dried the small load on the timed cycle better than most  other dryers.
