Last week saw some nice blenders at flea market. One booth had a beige and brown Hoover with a knob control, I think three speed. Also a black Waring Pro in black with the cloverleaf shape ribbed jar and 3 prong cord, no price on either.

Another booth had an avocado Osterizer Galaxie and a white KitchenAid like mine but it was the first model with screw on lid with pouring cap, instead of the push on lid and jar with spout like mine. $18.50 each, which was odd, as there was a hunter green KitchenAid last year that they wanted $40 for.

Oh, also saw an interesting old blender or maybe a mixer that was a glass jar with motor on top and blades, I think. Hard to remember exactly what it looked like.

Those old glass jar with a mixer on top were from the 20s and 30s and really only designed to make mayonnaise or very light batters

go for the Oster and the Waring.I HATE the KA blenders-have some in my collection and they are USELESS!!!Their blunt blades just bump the ingredients around---no mixing or blending action.KA should stick to mixers and food processors.Have one of their FP's and it works well.
