When i first left London back in 1999 & moved to Lowestoft in Suffolk I gave my away my Hotpoint WM63 in Cassata green colour to my cousin.
Then wanted to buy a durable heavy duty washing machine.
After a very extensive look I came across a brand called Blomberg.
I ended buying the 1501 AAA rated washing machine.
I was well impressed with the 1500rpm spin speed & other features that it had.
But a few things struck me.
It was a very HEAVY washing machine, very noisy when at full spin speed if it was a little unbalanced.
It also made a very click/clunk noise when going into top speed as if it was selecting another gear.
I also found it had a terrible time of pre-filling with water when it was on the main wash as the water level always looked rather low even though it gave a very good wash.
But I had endless amounts of fun or joy watching it in action & it always looked like an old fashion machine with its quirky dials, knobs & buttons.
Would be nice to know if any others had this model & how did they find it & any pictures of it.
Or indeed if anyone still has one now in good working order??
The picture below is not mine but just to show what model I'm talking about.
Oh, by the way I gave it away to my ex mother-in-law in kent when I split from my partner.
Any idea who or what group Blomberg belongs too??
