Bluette... not quite gone yet?!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Innocently meant question.......

Is Bluette supposed to be (is) superior to Mrs. Stewart's? I mean, the poor dear on the label looks as though she could really, really use the money. And a drink or a Valium. I don't use bluing often, but I do use it. To the best of my recollection, I never saw Bluette here in Ohio.

Bluette is more forgiving than Mrs. Stewart's if it is accidentally spilled on clothing.  Mrs. Stewart's seems more like a dye, and therefore more prone to setting in.

I am surprised that Bluette is still available or available again at the Malco on line store. I tried to order some right when I heard that it was being discontinued but the website showed both the 32 ounce and 16 ounce sizes as not available. Hmmm....

My current stash of Bluette consists of 18 16oz. bottles (courtesy of our dear Launderess), and 13 32oz. bottles.  With the amount that I currently have on hand, I should have enough to last me roughly 2-3 years, maybe more.  We have a 32oz. bottle in current use.  We use it consistently each washday.  Before La France & Blu White disappeared from store shelves, we used those 2 products exclusively because they were less messy than liquid bluing.  We've tried Mrs. Stewart's, and found it to be too concentrated for our liking.  It acts more like a dye, and is less forgiving if accidentally overdosed.

And so what if I'm a "War Hoarder", I like to have a nice supply on hand for a "rainy day".  (Just funnin' with ya Launderess)
