Hi guys

My latest find...some of you have already seen it on my facebook page.

A BNIB never used Australian made Hoovermatic Twin Tub washer....made in 1991

I was alerted to this by Steve (streakers) who 'very nearly' purchased it himself.

It was purchased by the seller's grandmother to be used in her caravan but never installed. The seller was charged with selling her belongings when she passed away.

VERY happy with my purchase...in mint condition.

Cheers
Leon

Thats awesome Leon!

Loved that colour scheme for the Hoovers, my one is the brown and orange scheme which works well with my decor but I still have a soft spot for this colour. Think it is because the first Australian washer I ever saw was my Grandads Hoover Premier 750 in this colour scheme. Awesome!

Love how clean it looks and how perfectly preserved it is :-)

Great find!

Matt

Love all the mirrors in the wash tub ;'D

So this is the last evolution? It's just so interesting. Control for auto rinse, but no fill port on deck, nor the familiar little swing-faucet.

What a great find! These NIB's are always amazing. 21 years old, yet just born.

So is the fill port in the back or do you attach a hose and rinse thru the opening in the lid?

Agitation

how do these things agitate the clothes? is it via that impeller thing on the back wall of the wash tub?

Fill hose.....

Hi Mickey

There's a seperate fill hose which you attach to the household tap and yes....this would have to one the last designs to come out of the Hoover factory here in Oz.

Washer111......please see attached link. This is not my video but someone who has posted this on youtube. It'll give you an idea on how they work

Cheers

Hi Leon.

wow Wow WOW .... what a find!

Being new, the machine looks excellent - nothing more exciting than opening up a new machine for the first time!

Being 'de luxe' I take it that this is a T4442?

That's just amazing - NIB!! Congratulations on a very cool find. I have (a rather sad) Hoover TT that needs a bit of TLC but how fun to find one never used. Our neighbor had a Hoover when I was a kid and I loved helping her do the wash in that Hoover. Now I have the itch and will have to bring mine home from storage :-)

Please Take Note Of The Shipping Crate

Have been saying for ages that Hoover TT's ship well via UPS or whatever if crated properly. Maybe "MayFan69" will provide the dimensions of the original Hoover TT box shown above and any packing material.

One main thing is to protect the wheels which IIRC in all versions of Hoover TTs are removable casters. Not sure but think that is how the units originally shipped. Owners probably took the casters from a packet and shoved them in.
