Bosch Ascentia error code 21

Hello, any Bosch experts?
My sisters 4 year old Bosch Ascentia dishwasher fills but does not wash. E 21 shows in the display. Upon shutting the power button off then back on, it pumps out. Every cycles does this.

E21 is some sort of blockage in the wash motor. Check and remove any blockage that may be there. If not, you may have to replace the wash motor.

I checked the sump and the filter. There was nothing in them.
My dad used to run it every day half full or not on the longest hottest cycle.
He was very ill, and it was all he had control of left in his life.
He repaired laundry equipment and dishwashers for many years him self.
I suspect this wash motor is pricey, so my sister will likely scrap it. It was only a $400 machine. The detergent dispenser broke first.
