For months now I just assumed the Siemens (as seen at Best Buy) was just a re-branded Bosch. I mean the Bosch and the BB Siemens seem identical from what I can tell. They even advertise with the same language (3D washing, etc.).
Today, however, I saw a full page in the New York Times regarding the BB Siemens. The ad pointed out that Siemens was the number one European washing machine and was now available in the United States. Once again though, the washing machine pictured clearly looked identical to the Bosch.
Does someone know? I know the Bosch is an European company but they make their front loader here in the U.S. So what gives with Siemens? Is the machine they are selling at BB made by them or is it made by Bosch? If their U.S. machine is made by Bosch, then what gives in Europe? I mean does Siemens make their own machines in Europe?
Any case, thanks for any input on this subject.
