Recirculation

At the begining of the normal wash cycle just after the tub fills a bit it spins at a low speed while the jets are on, then it stops fills some more and tumbles with the jets on, the jets were on during the entire wash and rinse cycle.

I've always loved

the way the LG machines look... I also LOVE the fact that it has a deep rinse. I'm surprised because I didn't think that was allowed with modern front load washers.

but I'm so scared of that brand, not because of reliability......but because if something were to go wrong, how long will you have to be waiting for it to be fixed because of parts having to be ordered or back ordered parts, etc. It seems like I remember a lady on a forum saying it took 1.5 months to finally get her LG machine fixed. She had to go to the laundromat for six weeks. I'd die!

That being said, it looks like a super cool machine and hope you have no problems with it :)

Oh.......Oh.........forgot

If you don't already, plug it into a working surge protector

The first year I had my Duet, the control board went. After it was replaced I've had mine plugged into a surge protector and 9 years later it still works. Not sure if it's just luck or the surge protector is helping.

Mark:

Good advice.  I was told the day I purchased my Maytag pair, "Go buy a good surge protector, you won't regret the investment."

Almost five years later, nary a problem.  Luck, or good protection?  Don't know, still good advice with electronic laden appliances.
