I just made some very major changes to the Discuss-o-Mat posting system. None of these will be visible to you guys as its all behind the scenes upgrades. This work is part of the preliminary work to create new the As The Tub Turns and Dirty Laundry forums.

Before I forget

Oh I forgot to mention that the one change you will notice is that when the system reports that a thread has been edited, the date and time should now be converted to your local time if you added your time zone to your profile.

Yesterday, I noticed something odd. On one thread I visited in the Imperial forum, it didn't change the yellow dot to blue after my visit. Other threads in the same and other forums worked normally, just this one wasn't updating properly.

Still not working

It is thread #28873, "Possible Never Used 1975 Maytag set." The button still stays yellow after I've visited the thread. The thread title, "Thread #28873," that is normally blue before you visit it and then changes to purple after you visit it, stays its original color. (I'm guessing this works the same way as your color-changing dots do.)

Other threads are working normally.

I tried closing the browser window and opening a new one, to see if that would make any difference, but it didn't. If a corrupted cookie is the problem, that will usually clear it.

I've added so many new pod's over the last year that I forgot to adjust the software to accept so many. whoops. Should be fixed now (at least for today), I'll work more on making it foolproof next week.

for some odd reason, if you read my post, 2 lines were separated from each other, and one recipe left a space as if something is missing....in the preview everything was ok as always

this is the second post....the first time I typed everything, and then hit post....it got lost

Steve that might have something to do with threads at the bottom not being looked at for more than seven days and then the login expires and you have to log in again. I'll keep a watch for that.

2 lines were separated from each other

Yogi, I'm looking at that post, which two lines were separated? Between events... and cool dishes? Its hard for me to tell where you mean, nothing looks really out of the ordinary.

the 5th line and the 13th line should have been together.....

this maybe on my side.....so far the other postings have been OK....

I'll just keep a close watch of what I'm doing to see what may have triggered it to happen and let you know....
