Bug Report #2

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Pete, first of all what browser are you using?

2nd would you be able to do a side by side screen shot like Jeff did above? You can email me the shots if you don't know how by pressing the print screen button (which puts the page in memory) and pasting it into a paint program, saving the file.

:'D

Just checking the " ' " I use him ' for my smile face ;'D Looks like he's working fine, thanks.

But right now, I'm not smiling. Laughing my butt off at Pete's hilarious glasses, instead.

Anyone else notice that the backgrounds are missing (for the brand, agitator, etc.)?

The wallpaper backgrounds are only suppose to show up in the Imperial and Deluxe forums.

I've noticed the following:

(Mac OS 10.4.11; Safari 3.1.2; Firefox 3.5.7)

Using Firefox, there remains a red box around the forum banner that dissappears only when you select another forum (see picture)

Observation #2:

In Firefox there is a blue edge around the member pictures (see picture), whereas this is not the case in Safari.

Update: the red box in observation #1 is now gone. It now only appears when I click on the banner and doesn't remain when I return to the Discus-O-Mat screen from one of the forums.

Well good then Pete I'll consider this case closed for now, eventually I will update the look of the index page. Right now its mainly the transmission and clutch of the website I'm working on. Stuff that's hidden behind the rear access panel :-)

I've been curious to find out what changes you've made to the site mechanicals. Would be interested to know what type of database format you went with. .Net?

Ben, the new database type is called mySQL, the old system saved all the information it needed in text files and I'm trying to get away from that in order to be able to incorporate some new stuff.

How DOES one change the oil seals and bearings on the site? Is there a special lubricant for it? (ooohhh, that just doesn't sound right...)

Ducks and runs...

Jeff, I know your "you hoo" doesn't mean to be

indeed Robert can't be 24/7 looking after AW.org ..........

Robert, with a nick like your (Unimatic are also commercial V-Zug series) and now dealing with mySQL I guess you'll have nightmares with an half dozen of V-Zug Adora *SQL* spinning database over the swiss mountanins

The first time I read of the Adora SLQ i actually understood "SQL" .... now can't help thinking of it as the SQL washer *LOL*

Jeff, I know your "you hoo" doesn't mean to be rude

Of course not, it was a friendly and grateful 'heads up'.

Thanks Jeff

The photos Nate has uploaded today into the "Ralph's Resto" thread over on Imperial are not displaying for me. The ones that have been posted there for a while all display fine.

I was trying to find the thread here on Super where there were issues with pix displaying. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm definitely having problems with any photos that have been uploaded within the last day or so.

Correction

The sign thread is in Imperial. No wonder I couldn't find it here. Looks like others are having similar issues to mine.

Sorry guys I'm not going to be near my usual computer most of this weekend. I'll have to look into it on Monday, I wish I could but I'm not able do this 24/7.

It appears last night the ISP we used has moved us to a brand new server last night, that is why there was an outage. The last time this happened a few years it took a few days for them to work out the bugs.

Info

Robert, I noticed the height and width tags on recently uploaded images are now blank ( width="" height="" ). I think this will cause images to not appear in IE.

I forgot to mention that the fonts got big for a day or two, but have since gone back to the size they were, or close to it.

Should I be using a different browser instead of IE in order to see the latest pix now?

Okay I was able to sneak away for a bit and try to adjust the code to prevent blank image sizes. The problem is the ISP moved us to a new server and have not finished installing all the image resizing software. I tried to adjust to code to work around that issue until they get their act together.

Anyway, pictures will have to be re-posted if they are not showing up. Can everyone see this picture?
