Re: Help:

Hi! Daniele, I can't speak for everyone, but it might be possible that maybe some of us Club Member's might help you with some other Brands of Detergent's. Are you looking into using Powder, as opposed to Liquid, or are you looking to try both? I would venture to think that Powder's would be easier to Ship, than Liquid's, especially because of the mess that the Liquid's could cause, if their Container's get damaged.

If anything, possibly some can suggest that you contact them one-on-one "via" E-Mailing each other, for what you are looking for of Brand's.

Thank you for your suggestion, you're right about the shipping problems that i may get with liquids...once I brought a bottle of "ALL" from the USA and it left liquid all over my clothes in the luggage..i didn't need to add extra detergent when washed them!

Usually only expat shops and a few online stores catering to various immigrant (so far only have found British, German, and Mexican) sell laundry products to/in the United States.

You may wish to try Canadian or Mexcian sources that ship to the US. Sometimes they have laundry products not found in the States. Also check supermarkets in immigrant communites. Have seen Asian verisons of Tide locally, but not Mexican Ariel. Local Sears-Mart has several Mexican laundry products, but not the elusive Ariel for front loaders. The rest like Focca and Roma are very high sudsing and have too much scent.

Many detergent makers for other countries just do not want their products sold in the United States due to liablity laws. Thus even if an importer were willing to bring supply in, he may face trouble. Lever Bros actually sued, IIRC won a case against someone importing/selling their products into the US without their permission.

Considering most of the top laundry products all come from about three worldwide mega-conglomerates (Henkel, Lever Bros, Proctor and Gamble)aside from variation for water hardness, type of washing machine, and local washing habits, there really is not much of a major difference between top shelf detergents, IMHO.

Think many of us would like to see more high performance detergents for front loaders, that do not cost a arm and leg over top loading detergents. In countries where front loaders are the rule rather than the exception, one finds entire asiles of all and sundry detergents.

Thank you

to everyone who answered to my question but he point is that I write from Italy!
I need someone delivering their stuff world-wide or at least from another countries to Europe :)

Hi Daniele
I spent last year in the US and fell in love with Tide and Downy. In Australia we don't have these products I have found a mail forwarding service called Access USA and you can order any thing on line from the US and they will air freight it to you. It is a little expensive but not too bad. You can order from Amazon.com Netgrocer.com they have a very good selection. Amazon has a Gristides section in Gourmet food and they have pretty much everything. I hope this helps you.

UK Detergents

I tried finding the recent thread about detergents available through www.britsuperstore.com, but couldn't find it. I ordered a few boxes (Bold 2in1, Ariel, Sun, Daz), but have not tried them yet. They smell wonderful! My question is....does anyone know if they are front-load friendly (low-sudsing)? I would think that with so many front-loaders being used across the ocean, they would be.

Thank you froantloader812 for your info!

And doityrselfguy, you can be sure those detergents are all specific for FL machines (as all detergents available here in Europe).

We also have some high-sud soaps, but it's written on the packs if they are of this kind.

Daniele
