Hey Jetcone!! I'm looking at picture #4 (of 37) in your 'collections' file; Do my eyes deceive me or does that Maytag Neptune have A WINDOW?! Is that a washer or dryer? I have never seen a window in the door of any Maytag product.

Working on it

Hi Frigilux
That definetly is my dryer but I have anohter door and am trying to figure out how to create it for the washer. The problem is a sensor that monitors just cabinet vibration. If I turn it off or wire it out the computer will shut the machine down due to a null value from that sensor. If I could eliminate the step in the program and eliminate the vibration plate inside the door I could set up the window. Its very tricky with the Neptune.
BTW my Neptune was one of the first and I have never had any problem with it which I am finding is odd for their track record with everyone else. GO figure.

Thanks for your interest Jon

Neptune Dryer Window - AWESOME !

Dear Jetcone:
I commend you for that awesome windowed door you configured in your Neptune dryer. I have a Neptune MAB5500 washer and I truly love it. I also have had no problems what-so-ever in the three+ years I've owned it. I only wish I had waited a year or so when the MOL internal heater model became available (I did'nt want the TOL electronic touchscreen model that was available which had the internal heater - way too sophisticated - and I don't need three languages or a stain brain display)! Anyway, I would love to get the matching dryer to my 'wave' backpanel Neptune to make a beautiful set -my washer is in Bisque color. I like the Neptune dryer as it seems to be well built and sturdy. However, there are so many new machines available now which tout a windowed door or 'portal'. I would really like one of these. If I could have the window on the dryer door, I would get the matching Neptune dryer in a heartbeat. Could you tell me how you managed to get that awesome door on your dryer? Is this possible for the 'lay person'to achieve, or is it advanced, involving complicated configuration? Also, would I be able to achieve the windowed door in a bisque color to match the bisque washer? I think you are ingenious with this door application, overriding what Maytag left out. If only Maytag design engineers were as ingenious!!
Sincerely: TFV

Try a Maytag commercial distributor, the same door is used on their stack dryer from a couple years back, it comes from the factory with a window, (dryer only), the washer has a solid door as not to freak out the consumer as to how much water is not used
