Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Favorit .
Comme stai ?
It looks like a Cookworks in UK .
They had a control dial which was their biggest problem as they were always sticking !
Ebay UK is full of them.
Good to see Candy have got rid of the dial and its all electronic controls.
Regards. Louis.

Dishwashers have never clicked for South Africans...even those who easily can afford to have one don't see the logic in it. Dishes are washed by hand and that's just how its done. I love seeing the looks on their faces when guests are kindly asked not to bother themselves with dishes. Favorit's pic of that cute thing would be mistaken for a convection microwave or something of the sort 1000 times over in most SA kitchens! LOL

i've got louds of cosins in South africa, 2 families came along a month ago. My grandads sister was the eldest from them all and her children. They told me they have a full size dishwasher which is used everyday due to their large family.
BTW- They're huse is double storey which is very rare near their area.

Have one of these in service at work. Got it off Craigslist and rigged it to work only from the cold supply. (my office is an old auto shop in a high school built in the 1940s, the only easy tap in was an old water fountain) Its been in service for nearly 3 years now, at least one load of coffee mugs, small plates and stainless coffee filters every day. Sani-Mode heats the water to near scalding, even from mains cold, and it will deform certain plastics. Had an issue with the gasket around the window which we solved with silicone sealant. Occasionally the timer will stick and the machine will run for a few hours. Other than that, the little machine has worked it butt off and does a wonderful job making sure we're not trading germs in the office.

clogging issue

with the Danby, have you found that the pump intake screen gets clogged easily on it? both the one I have in Vancouver and the one Rich has seems to do that a fair bit as well. does not take long to sort out, just a quick clean of the intake under the screen on the bottom of the machine does the trick.

different badges , same (un)reliability

the odd point : this machine (4 places) uses 16 litres of water per cycle vs 10 litres used by the Candy standard size machine (15 places)

My answer : "Bene, grazie!"

Danby is just another name. Guess who manufactures these ...... Midea again!

I bought one a couple of years ago on CL here, cleaned the limescale out and used it a bunch while remodeling the kitchen. Never missed a dish but the filter did need cleaning relatively often but if done after every load, it wouldn't cause any trouble. I loved the sani cycle - I think the thermostat was about 160'ish.
