Last night I was at Target replenishing essentials and went to get a bottle of fabric softener. Apparently someone had opened it to see what it smelled like, and they got the top on cockeyed. Quick as a flash I had the product all over the floor and all over the other items in my cart.

I cleaned off the floor with some nearby paper towels and looked at my pants, relieved that I didn't spill any on them, only to get to the next destination and notice it had gotten all over one of my shoes (one of my favorite pairs, and I think the stain is permanent).

Guess I'll shop for some new shoes after Im done at the gym, but heads up! LOL

You guys are too funny. I did find some new ones at Macy's, they were even on sale. Bit lighter color for summer, which will be fun. I mean, I have lots of shoes, but of course this particular pair was one I were almost continuously, and the pair I bought is very similar.

That's right Bob! :) Pete, I have no way of knowing if the store caused the problem, I'm more inclined to believe someone opened to sniff it and put the top on wrong.

I don't know if it'll work, but I do have the shoes here and if I find a color match of shoe polish I'm going to try applying that to the shoes to see if it covers, or perhaps consult a shoe place to see if they could be redyed or something. They otherwise still have plenty of service left in them.

Scott, you're in California now. People here sue a the drop of a pin. You could probably claim, and win, an award for emotional suffering as a result of the store's negligence. LOL.

But I would probably do the same as you. Just fix the old pair or get a new pair, and chalk it up to experience. However you might try calling or visiting the store and let them know that you had the problem in the first place, and that they should police their aisles more carefully. At the very least they could apologize for your bad experience.

Sorry that had to happen Scott! That's why I usually go for the bottle/box in the back row...less likely that someone would #%@$ with it and leave the cap off!

Roger: No fabric softener + dry Arizona climate = SERIOUS shock situation...LOL! I was almost positive I would "get it" a few times at your house & at Ross's, especially after handling those "charged-up" miracle cloths! I've accidentally touched the dryer on quite a few occasions after pulling a "staticky" load out...yikes!

Next time we visit Tucson, remind me to stop & get a large bottle of Suavitel so I'll have it handy when the 608 fills for the rinse...;-)

Austin,
Lol-well I guess the next time you come we will have to do a security check-to make sure no one sneaks in any Suavitel.
Lol
