A big thank you goes out today to Roger/firedome who was kind enough to donate a 1958 and 1976 Chambers Appliance catalogs as well as a Chambers Electric Cooking Appliances Owners Manual from 1956. Also today we have a Kitchen Dishwasher Parts and Accessories Catalog for the 17-series.

You can download them here.

Wandering through eBay today and I saw a late-60s Chambers brochure which I perused. The thing I noted was that they offered a 220 volt dishwasher (D&M) which offered 180 degree wash and rinse (the 120 volt one only got to 150 degrees). Otherwise it was pictured as a bog standard high-end D&M of the day with a roto rack. 6 buttons. Another thread somewhere commented on the Kenmore 220 volt dishwasher offered for a short period of time mid-60s...some reinforcement that they were available.

always found it curious...

that Chambers, as obsessive as they were about quality, with cost almost no object on their wonderful ranges, would then opt to use D & M as a supplier for their branded dishwashers. Certainly Hobart would have been more in character for them.
