Help Support :

Hi Gabriel,

It is looking great !!! Can’t wait to see it fully reassembled and on a maiden Wash :) you have worked so hard on this and it will all be worth it in the end.

Sometimes you have to get additional help as they can be just too much for one, I had to get my partner to help me yesterday as the project I am work on was just too heavy for me to manage.

Keep going

Cheers Keith

Drive Train finished

Yesterday I went underneath the machine and began reassembling the brake system and clutch helix. It took me a few tries to align the clutch helix, but once I got that done I was able to reinstall the brake cone. Then, I got the pulley system lubricated and back together at the bottom. I left the spring adjustment the same as before when I first got it.

Finally, I put the machine back on its feet, and the tub can support itself now. Everything at the bottom has been reassembled. Let's give it a test!

Help!

The machine did not do well on the water test. The main seal leaked pretty badly, and I had to remove the base again to pull out the inner tub and inspect it. I've provided a video of the test in this reply.

There are no obvious rips or tears in the snubber, leading me to believe that the water seal was compromised. I've ultimately decided that I want to get it replaced. I am aware that getting the original part is impossible, so does anyone know how I can get a new seal fitted into it?
