I'm confused, servis is not part of the indesit company? or is it?
I'm sure it's not, but i certainly know hotpoint is part of the indesit company but they are much better than indesits.

By the way my experience with servis will never make me buy another one, i had a m6115 in white, all sorts happened like module problems, to controls etc.

Servis is not part of the Indesit Company (formerly Merloni Electtrodomestici). Servis is manufactured by an entirely different company called "Antonio Merloni".

The two Merlonis cause the confusion over who makes what. I can assure you that the Servis machines are manufactured entirely differently from Indesits. i.e. worse!

Electronics on Servis machines are particularly prone to failure, as are bearings. The machines may be assembled in Italy but many of the parts are of low quality.

I wouldn't touch a Servis/Antonio Merloni machine with a barge pole. At least the Hotpoints are still made to the British GDA design.

well be that as it may im still gettin it as, i know people who have had servis machines that lasted years whitout a bother. and i really like the look of it, anyway it comes with a 1 year warrante and 5 year parts warrante. as long as its treated right i doubt we will have any or many problems with it.

I can do little more than warn people about this shambles of an outfit.

The founders of the original UK Servis company must be rolling in their graves to see the 'quality' machines that bear their name these days.

If I were to choose a modern machine now I'd personally

Electrolux build quality but with the simplicity of machines of old, I think that makes for good reliability and a longer machine life than most we see today. They're pretty cheap too!

Ofcourse if I had the money I'd go for a Miele but otherwise I think Tricity Bendix would be a good choice.

I'd go for the AW1001. It might be a bit basic for some people, but thats how I like it =]

thanks for the suggestion but im not mad about the look of these tricity bendix machines, now if it was an original bendix like the 7142 then id be more intrested ha ha.

The company I work for are under guarantee agents for them....

If you saw the stock of spares- especially modules we carry you wouldnt touch one believe me!
